In 2013, I taught two semesters of Journalism 201 at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, as well as one section of an introductory communications class.

The Journalism 201 is formally News Writing & Reporting I — it’s the first introduction to basic journalism at the college: obituaries, speeches, cops reporting, the works — a great way to learn basic skills, and still the meat and potatoes of much of the news business.
